The LightSpex is the portable tool for the characterization of commercial lighting. This spectroradiometer provides an unmatched combination of accuracy, convenience and affordability. The LightSpex simplifies light data collection in the field or on the production floor.

The LightSpex uses no filters; it is a true spectroradiometer. With the push of a button, it measures the entire visible spectrum of light incident upon the unit (using a 256 detector array and integral cosine receptor) and, on the spot, calculates, displays, and plots a variety of radiometric quantities, including:

• Irradiance in W/m2/nm, Illuminance in footcandles & lux, peak irradiance, integrated irradiance, and peak Irradiance wavelength

• Correlated Color Temperature [CCT] in Kelvin.

• Spectral Power Distribution [SPD] (wavelength vs.calibrated intensity across the visible spectrum).

• 1931 CIE xy and 1976 CIE u'v' color chromaticity coordinates; user selectable 2° or 10°, 5 nm observer functions (CMF's).

These results are NIST* traceable. LightSpex conforms to ASTM, DCC, SAE,ANSI, CIE and ISO standards and procedures.
